Hartley House Media

Hartley House Media was conceptualised in the early 2010s as an umbrella label for multiple writing, musical, design and community service projects at the time. Named for the author’s maiden surname, Hartley, the purpose of this venture is to encapsulate the memories, lessons, trials and victories of an older millennial who grew up in rural South Africa and is finding her place in the world as an adult.

Using her love of writing, reading, music and design, Megan recreates a nostalgic and hopeful world in which she reflects beautifully the most intimate human experiences.

Megan is also a musician and teacher, composer, arranger and avid listener. She enjoys playing in large orchestras and smaller chamber music groups, in addition to conducting her school’s string ensembles and orchestra.
